There are 22 NHS dental practices in Dundee. Between December 2025 and March 2026, 10 of them ended up with more patients than they started with.

They ask practices directly and update it regularly, so it tells you who’s open now rather than who was registering people months ago. Start there.

NHS Tayside’s list of practices taking NHS patients

Nobody publishes a national list of who’s taking new NHS patients. NHS Inform’s dental directory lists every practice but doesn’t say whether any of them have space. Some practices also take children on but not adults, which these figures can’t distinguish.

What’s below is whether a practice’s list actually grew between December 2025 and March 2026. One that was signing people up then is a better bet than one whose list shrank, but it’s not a promise — these are net figures, so a practice that registered 300 and lost 200 looks like one that quietly took on 100. It’s a shorter list to phone, not a way of avoiding the phoning.

Largest first. Where a practice grew but its postcode area didn’t, that’s flagged — it usually means another practice nearby closed and the patients were moved across, so the list grew without anyone new getting on.
